§ 9-105. Qualifications.

  • (a)

    Applicants for a journeyman electrician's license shall be not less than twenty-one (21) years of age and show four (4) years' actual experience directly preceding and date of the application, such experience to be practical experience in installing wires, conductors and electrical equipment used inside of buildings for the transmission of electrical current for light, heat or power purposes, and must satisfy the board of electricians as to his/her qualifications and present a letter from a licensed master electrician, licensed in the City of Pearland, showing proof of employment.

    (b)

    Applicants for a journeyman sign electrician's license shall be not less than twenty-one (21) years of age and show two (2) years' actual experience directly preceding the date of the application, such experience to be practical experience in installing, repairing and maintaining wires, conductors, electrical signs, including gas and tube signs, and other equipment used for the internal transmission of electrical current for signs, and must satisfy the board of electricians as to his/her qualifications.
