§ 9-39. Duties generally.

The duties and functions of the board of electricians shall be to convene at the request of the city council to review the electrical code and recommend amendments to the council as needed for unusual problems. The board and electrical inspector shall compose and administer examinations or appoint an approved testing facility to determine the issuance of licenses to electrical contractors, master and journeyman electricians. Interpretation of the code and ordinances shall be by the board of electricians or the city attorney.
