The energy code adopted in section 7-82 is modified in the following respects:

(a)

Section 507 is hereby amended to read as follows:

507 In two inch by four inch (2" X 4") exterior wall framing the insulation value for the HVAC line sets entering the vertical wall from the horizontal attic or floor space may be reduced in insulation value and nominal diameter to ensure the structural integrity and continuity of the top plates without overcutting or over-notching the top plates."
