§ 32-29. Overcharging.

It shall be unlawful for any owner, driver or operator of any taxicab to refuse to convey a passenger over the most direct route practical or to demand or receive an amount in excess of the rates displayed on the rate cards displayed in the taxicab or the rate shown on the meter, freewill tips excepted.
