§ 32-24. Daily manifest.

  • Every driver of a taxicab shall maintain a daily manifest upon which is recorded all trips made each day, showing the place of origin and destination of each trip, the number of passengers, the amount of the fare and the total number of hours driven. All such completed manifests shall be returned to the owner of the taxicab by whom the driver is employed at the conclusion of the driver's tour of duty of the day. It shall be the duty of the owner to furnish the forms for such manifest record and to see that such manifest is kept daily by each driver. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a person driving a taxicab upon the streets of the city shall not be deemed to be in violation of this section if such person has been issued and holds a valid and current taxicab driver's license from the City of Houston.
