§ 29-300. Same—Procedure of drivers meeting or overtaking.

  • The driver of a vehicle upon a public street within the city shall, upon meeting or overtaking from either direction, any school bus, private or public, which has stopped on such street for the purpose of receiving or discharging any passengers, shall stop the vehicle before reaching such school bus when there is in operation on the school bus a visual signal as specified in section 29-298, and the driver shall not proceed until the school bus resumes motion or he is signaled by the school bus driver to proceed or the visual signals are no longer actuated.
